| Project Details |
Construction on this project was performed during unusually heavy rainfall, and extreme site conditions. RJG succeeded in finishing all three locations along State Highway 12, Napa and Solano Counties on time. On sites 1 and 2, the pipeline was excavated and encased in reinforced concrete and back filled. At site 3, portions of the existing pipeline, manhole and blow-off structure were excavated and demolished. A new pipeline was constructed along with the new access and blow-off structures. Site 3’s pipeline was encased in reinforced concrete with stone slope protection for the new blow-off structure. Grouting the annular space between the existing water pipeline and casing pipe under Highway 12 was also completed. Installation of the Department’s furnished flow meters and piping, were accomplished in a timely manner along with the installation of a new flow meter vault; relocation of an existing flow chart panel, support structure and door; a new sump pump and piping; removal and installation of back-flow preventers and valves; Geotextile fabric, raceways and boxes, hydro-seeding and slurry back-fill.
